Great marketing campaigns don’t always require a big budget.

If you’re the owner of a local start-up, or a small business that’s only been around for a year, you’re likely to bank on creativity and innovation to promote some of your biggest products.

This means taking advantage of personalized marketing tools—most of which are easy on the pocket, but incredibly effective in creating brand visibility.

So, before you blame a limited budget for a poor promotional strategy, check out some of these tried-and-tested tools and how they help small organizations reach their marketing milestones.

Social Media

There’s no denying the role of social media in modern-day marketing. With platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram paving the way for viral videos and content, companies, big and small, can rely on a global virtual network that does the work for them.

The trick to online success, however, lies in crafting a smart social media strategy. Sure, these tools are free, but to make the most of them, you should to know how to use them.

Engage with viewers, update your page frequently, use hashtags, make cultural references to stay relevant, and create an air of mystery around upcoming launches/events with teaser videos and sneak-peek images.

Promo Events

If you’ve ever been to a concert—whether it’s a stadium-packed gig, or a small show at a jazz club—you’re likely to see an opening act.

As a small business, you intend to be the main act very soon; but in order to get there, you’ve got to start out opening shows.

This means speaking at events and partnering with other established companies. Not only is this an excellent way to introduce your brand directly to a niche market, but a cost-effective way of generating buzz around your products and services.

Custom Logo Ribbons

One of the biggest challenges faced by small businesses is creating an authentic brand identity that’s memorable and impactful.

Consider the case of a funny commercial that made you laugh, but couldn’t help you remember the name of the brand. Is it really worth applauding if it failed to create brand visibility?

Custom logo ribbons add a touch of authenticity to products and corporate gifts that boosts brand recall and sets you apart from the competition.

The only thing separating an established brand from an obscure one is lack of exposure.

As a budding entrepreneur, you’re up against some serious competition in a market that keeps getting bigger and better. With a limited window of time to prove your talent, you simply can’t say no to a rare opportunity to steal the spotlight!

Trade shows are an excellent case in point.

An exhibition featuring some of the most innovative names from a specific industry, it presents a unique opportunity for brands of all shapes and sizes to gather, attract customers, network, raise awareness, find investors and most importantly, promote their hottest products!

The Trade of Tradeshows

One of the great things about participating in a trade show—besides advertising your services—is representing your brand.

This means that you’re not just selling a product, you’re selling an experience. And this is only made possible with the help of small but effective marketing tools like custom logo ribbons.

Having a personal stall or booth at a tradeshow gives you a chance to personalize your brand and add some pizzazz to make your items stand out.

Here are 5 ways to make some marketing magic with ribbons:

1. Backdrop Details

So, you got yourself a fancy backdrop to add a creative flair to your booth.

Well, guess what?

So did everyone else!

Go one step ahead and add a pop of color to yours by embellishing your brand name with luxury satin logo ribbons, color-coordinated with your brand name and balloons. Not only will this act as a fantastic festive accessory to your trade show booth, but also reinforce your brand identity with full-color custom logo detail!

2. Custom Name Tags

What’s the best way to make a great first impression at a trade show?

Simple—grab ‘em at “hello”!

Personalized ribbon name-tags are a cool and subtle way to introduce yourself to passersby and start a friendly conversation. With everyone else donning badges and name-cards, your sweet, simple and high-quality ribbon tag will add a touch of authenticity to your brand identity!

3. Surprise Giveaways

If you’re really serious about making a BIG impression, don’t hesitate to organize contests and distribute free giveaways.

But before you start handing out your best products as freebies, keep ‘em on display throughout and make sure they look their very best. Choose from a range of multi-color matte, satin or grosgrain ribbons and imprint creative personalized messages that go with the theme of the event!

4. Dream Display

So what if it’s your first tradeshow?

With your own personal booth, there’s no limit to what you can do to bring your brand to life!

This applies specifically to your display table, which demands every bit of attention and love. Plan ahead and design a dream display, adding colorful accessories and details with the help of ribbon-labels for different categories and products, or incorporate gradient artwork and let those ribbons hang sideways from the table.

5. Support a Cause

As a business, one of your biggest assets is developing a strong sense of social responsibility. Custom ribbons go a long way in representing that side as you sport an appropriate ribbon to non-verbally support a cause that you wish to associate with your brand.

Maybe a certain amount of your profits go to a children’s charity. Maybe you’re offering eco-friendly products or promote recycling. Whatever your cause, a ribbon can help you get the word out without being preachy.

Every brand tells a story.

Sometimes, it’s a story of hard work and perseverance. Other times, it’s a quirky little tale about being authentic and true to yourself.

The products may vary; the taglines may differ, but each story is told with the common aim to make a deep and profound impact.

As a start-up or a new business, raising brand awareness can be a real challenge. You’re competing against some of the biggest names in your industry, a small fish in a big pond—how can you possibly compete with a massive marketing budget?

Sometimes, small ideas can inspire big changes. Let’s take a look at 5 ways to wow audiences at a corporate event!

1. Master the Art of Storytelling

The best stories aren’t always the ones with the fanciest illustrations. They’re the ones that leave a deep imprint on your imagination, simply because of the way they’re told.

Consider this an excellent metaphor for your brand, where you’re put to the test to narrate the story of a lifetime. Remember, people respond to sentiment. Communicate and connect on a deeper level by personalizing your brand.

2. Give Audiences an Incentive

What’s in it for me?

That’s a question nearly every member of your audience is bound to ask whenever you try to promote your brand.

This is a great opportunity for you to show people that you care. Extend your sentiments with specialty thank-you gifts that are not only unique, but effective in creating an emotional impact.

3. Pay Attention to the Details of the Gift

Ever leave a wedding with the sweetest, most thoughtful thank you gift?

amazon wrapped gift boxIt’s not just what they put into the goodie-bag or gift basket that wows you, it’s the amount of time they’ve spent on the details to make sure that it’s packed to perfection.

When you’re speaking at a corporate event, you’re not just representing your brand through a presentation or keynote speech. You’re representing it in the smallest details.

Corporate gifts are an excellent chance to go crazy with your creativity and convert stunning artwork into an extension of your brand.

The Science of Colors in Custom Ribbon Branding

Black-and-white may be a standard color scheme for benchmark films in the motion picture industry. But in the modern-day world of cutting-edge cameras and high-resolution, color plays a pivotal role in heightening emotional pull, both on-screen and off.

One of the biggest companies to capitalize on this trend come from the advertising world—investing millions of dollars’ worth of research into navigating the spectrum to find the perfect hue and shade.

Seeing Red

Besides being an obvious emotional stimulant that influences consumer decision, colors also play a functional role in enhancing the aesthetic beauty of a commodity—thus giving it a competitive edge.

The desire to monopolize the most bankable shade has led many brands to fight expensive court battles over trademarked colors, as in the case of Louboutin’s red-soled stilettos.

The science of colors simply can’t be denied, which is why every aspect of your product should be compatible with the research—even small components like a ribbon.

Color Complexity

We all know that people respond to colors. Nowhere is this more obvious than during the festive holiday season, where primaries like green, red and white paint the colors of a shopper’s paradise. Have you noticed that when you saw/see an area decorated with jewel tones of rich blue, garnet red or cranberry, deep emerald green, or purples that the entire mood was different than the traditional red, green and snowy white?

Now, when it comes to selecting a color for a personalized logo ribbon for your gift or specialty item, you may consider sticking to simply one color, two colors, multi color print, or even a gradient print.

Here’s some insight into three most popular brand choices for ribbons:

Redpersonalized logo ribbon

Associated most prominently with emotional intensity, red is known for its strong provocation. Used commonly by brands in the food and beverage industry to arouse one’s appetite, it’s also a clever tool to boost sales and trigger impulse buying.

Yellow

Used most famously by McDonald’s and Denny’s, yellow is proven to be the color of cheerfulness (no wonder one of the brand’s mascots is a clown)!

Also known to be incredibly distracting with its attention-grabbing attributes, it’s no surprise that the two chains are effective in drawing in hungry passersby with their big ol’ signs as bright as the sun!

Blue

personalized customized ribbons

With companies like Facebook, AT&T, Salesforce, and Wal-Mart featuring blues in their brand identities, it’s easy to see why this color was selected. It has deep psychological associations with dependability, security and trustworthiness.

A calming, reassuring color that’s known to have a healing effect on the mind, blue also offers an infinite range of shades—one of which is trademarked  by Tiffany & Co.

Tiffany & Co. is certainly a company associated with depth, stability, love, loyalty, wisdom, and intelligence. When you buy from Tiffany, you buy with absolute confidence.

Picking personalized customized ribbons just got more interesting!

When it comes to color psychology, don’t take a gamble. Trust the tried-and-tested Custom Pantone Color Matching System and get your colors right with our multi step process to get your logo ribbon in YOUR company Pantone colors, not just from a basic list.

(Any time colors are mixed there is a potential variance of up to approximately 10%)!

PROTECT YOUR Fabric Scissors! – a ribbon that says Fabric Only!

December 21st, 2017 by admin | Permalink

Scissor Ribbon, Ribbon Scissors, Fabric Only Scissor Ribbon, Ribbon to indicate Fabric only scissors, Fabric Scissors, Fabric only Scissors, Ribbon only scissors

Your Fabric Scissors! PROTECT THEM with a ribbon that says No Paper! Fabric Only! For your sewing scissors and shears!

If you have ever cut fabric or ribbon, you know to follow that old famous advice:  “Measure twice, cut once!”  But only with with a really GOOD pair of fabric scissors! The most expensive ingredient in most home décor projects is your fabric, and you’ll end up wasting it if you don’t have good quality cutting tools. Don’t skimp on these important members of your sewing basket. It really is worth it to buy the very best you can afford. And to protect them, is such a simple lifetime investment!
Here in our office, we marked our “ribbon” fabric scissors with what:  A brightly colored piece of ribbon tied on the handle to indicate “Ribbon and Fabric Only” scissors.   Check this out for a wee bit of domestic humor and serious comments that helped me remember that I’m not the only one who needs to indicate “THE” pair of scissors to “Never use on paper – or Die” well, you know what I mean – in my scissor drawer!

Here are some quips or comments I enjoyed that confirmed my thoughts of this being a useful item for any crafter or sewer of fabrics….And NEEDING TO PROTECT THEIR FABRIC SCISSORS!

I had to have a talk with the family about how important my shears are to me and why i bought kitchen scissors for all their other stuff.

Since then … I can guarantee their safety 🙂

the sewing tools are very important not to use for everyday stuff like paper and chicken.  Hey, these are not poultry shears…. 🙂

Hi, my kids NEVER touched sewing things, My son, when he grew up, bought me the greatest set of sissors from Snap ON Tools. I lOVE them If you want the best, get them from Snap ON tools. you won’t regret it. they come in a beautiful case, and have three sizes . Good Luck To Everyone. Thank you, guyie

I always put my shears and scissors back where they belong, so of course, everyone knew where to go for them when they needed to cut something. So, I machine embroidered a lovely sampler I framed and hung above where I keep my best cutting tools. It reads: Touch these scissors and die! I still remember my young son’s face as he came out of my sewing studio the day after I hung that sampler. He had a concerned look and said, “You’re just kidding, Mom, right?” I gave him my best stern look and said, “No!” As far as I know, that was the last time he went in there to use the ‘good’ scissors!

I used to put a combination lock through the handles of my “good” scissors so that no one else could use them!

A combination lock? Oh Shana, how funny! My mom was like Carol, and used a stern look and dire warnings to keep us away from what we called her “fabric scissors”. I inherited those from her, and they are still sharp and useful–making me thankful that we paid attention.

i agree with regina! labelling the scissors is a very good idea! i just thought of it yesterday, after months of owning scissors and sewing machines! well, it’s never too late to start!

I mark all my shears and scissors “FABRIC ONLY”! Everyone knows how crazy I get about people using my scissors and shears…

My children would probably tell you that they grew up with the threat of a long, painful death if they ever used my good shears to cut anything. Even my husband would look at me and say things like, it’s just this little tag or piece of paper or whatever. I can still hear the words, “Don’t you dare”, coming out of my mouth. Needless to say, nobody died and I still have my good pair of shears after all these years!

I did see my hubby reaching for them one time when I was at the computer.. and I yelled out “OH NO YOU DON’T” and he looked at me like I was out of my mind… I then quietly said to get one of the other pairs….Never my fabric scissors!
